Many things can lead to a data loss accident – your hardware may crash, your computer might get infected, someone might accidently delete files you need. It is thus important to back up the files you do not want to lose. That is a task you can easily perform with Automatic Backup Manager. A wizard will help you create backup jobs and then, once the backup jobs are created, the application will run those jobs and back up the files you select to the location you specify.

This application needs only two things to work: Microsoft’s Windows operating system (anything from XP onward) and the .NET Framework (version 2.0 or newer). To install Automatic Backup Manager you will have to download a lightweight archive, extract and run the executable inside, and then click through the instructions presented by a setup wizard.

Automatic Backup Manager’s interface is divided into two panels: the main one, which is displayed to the right, lists all the backup jobs you created. The secondary one, displayed to the left, presents nice big buttons for creating new jobs, removing existing ones, changing a job’s settings, and launching a backup job right then and there.

As mentioned above, a wizard will help you create backup jobs. This wizard will ask you for the following information: select the input folder (the data from this folder will be backed up), select an output folder (the data will be saved to this folder), choose if you want only certain types of files to be backed up, choose when you want the backup job to be performed (daily, weekly, every few hours, and so on).

Please note that the trial version will not allow you to create more than one backup job.

With Automatic Backup Manager you can easily create backup jobs and you can efficiently back up your important data.

Pros

Automatic Backup Manager will work on any Windows-powered machine. There’s nothing complicated about the interface. A wizard will help you create backup jobs. The backup jobs will be run automatically, based on your specifications. You can use filters and only back up certain types of files.

Cons

Trial will not allow you to create more than one backup job.
